Qualification:    WSET Level 3/equivalent or above

Job Profile:
Ability to create special wine offers, degustation, wine dinners, promotions and to compel guest's attention to the incredible wine experience. Able to create interesting and diverse wine list that corresponds to the cuisine and concepts of the restaurants. The ability to maintain rotation of wines within outlets and the store to maintain its best quality at all times. Educate, train, supervise team on wine and beverage service and maintain the standards. Effectively manage costing, pricing and inventories to achieve the target beverage cost.

Requirement
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a well reputed 5* resort hotel
  • Proven track record of key accomplishments at work place
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills in coaching Team Members
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to independently plan work and execute tasks
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with excellent Computer skills
  • Flexibility to respond quickly and positively to a range of work situations

Description of function:    Secretary and Finance Assistant

A.  Sphere of responsibility
The incumbent will be responsible for the overall smooth uninterrupted functioning of the office; maintenance of a good flow of communication and information in the project and to the GIZ project in Male.
  • Provide organizational support to management
  • Assist the management
  • Support to project administration
  • Provide logistical assistance

The incumbent will be responsible for assisting with professional accounting and administrative work which assists in maintaining GIZ’s accounting and budgeting functions and responsibilities observing the organisational Rules and Regulations of GIZ.

B.  Required qualifications, competences/skills and experience
School education/training
  • Completion of Secondary School / A-level.  Diploma from a secretarial school or higher.
  • CIMA / ICA / ACCA part qualification.

Professional experience
  • Good working knowledge of telecommunication systems (telephone, fax, e-mail, internet etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service skills.
  • Self starter capable of multi-tasking and being a team player.  Good organizational skills
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently handle multiple, simultaneous, and complex tasks and projects
  • Proactive work ethics and ability to handle confidential matters with utmost professionalism and the ability to work with a wide range of people
  • Work with a high degree of independence in performing accounting and financial activities.
  • Organize own work, set priorities and meet critical deadlines; andcommunicate to interact effectively with co-workers, Senior Advisors and project colleagues.
  • Willingness to acquire knowledge of General Accounting Principles and skills in Project Accounting, and Internal Controls.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with a wide range of people.

C.  Other qualifications
  • High level of fluency in English and Divehi both verbally and in writing
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software; adequate knowledge in the use of financial software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and/or word processing required; Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.

Job descriptions
As a Chef de Partie, you are responsible for supervising staff and ensuring high levels of food preparation to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Chef de Partie would also be required to assist with food cost controls. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Ensure all food preparation meets standards
  • Prepare and present high quality food
  • Supervise staff
  • Keep all working areas clean and tidy and ensure no cross contamination
  • Prepare all mis-en-place for all relevant menus
  • Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ensure food stuffs are of a good quality and stored correctly

  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships
  • Assist Head Chef/Sous Chef in the training of all staff in compliance of company procedures
