Assistant Manager – Engineering
The Assistant Engineering Manager is responsible for maintaining the physical
building structure, hotel grounds, all mechanical, electrical, RO systems, and
related equipment in accordance with energy conservation and preventative
maintenance programs in accordance with local codes and regulations to protect
the assets, guests and employees.
A relevant degree / diploma in an engineering curriculum or a field
related to the area of assignment and two years of professional engineering
experience in a large firm / resort; or an equivalent combination of education
and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the
job as listed above.
Technician - Utilities
Should have minimum two years’ experience as Technician (Utility) /
Electrician or a related field
In a hotel or in a similar large
building/complex with central plant.
Diploma or Certificate in Engineering is highly desirable.
Good communications and interpersonal skills are a must.

- Ability to answer all work orders and radio calls promptly with minimum delay
- Ability to ensure that all work orders issued to them are filled in correctly and returned to the engineering office at the end of each day so that records of work done can be kept

- Licenses or certificates in Electronics or Electric Equipment Certificate, Vehicle Driving license & Certified in CPR and First Aid is preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Ability to understand how to maintain, service and repair, all Kitchen & Laundry appliances and electronics, including all types of brands of equipment and installation of new equipment
- Ability to do electrical fault find on the above equipment, and to provide out of hours emergency service
- Ability to assist in the set up and operation of a preventative maintenance programme.
