LAUNDRY MANAGER

    (Preferably Maldivians)

QUALIFICATIONS: (Laundry Manager)
  • Hotel School Graduate or Diploma Holder
  • Minimum of 2 years of responsible experience in managing laundry facilities in a hotel will be an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Leadership capability
  • Good spoken and command of English
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of commercial, industrial or institutional laundry operations, product methods, techniques and equipment including heavy duty washing machines, extractors, dryers, flat ironers, folders and pressing units
  • Knowledge of technique and skills required for a modern housekeeping operation including knowledge of linen, fabrics and life span

QUALIFICATIONS: (Front Office Supervisor)
  • Diploma Holder
  • Minimum of 2 years Hotel Reception experience required, and at least one year as a Front Office Supervisor/Guest Relations Supervisor will be an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Leadership capability
  • Good spoken and command of English
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel, PMS software, internet software and outlook
  • Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions

QUALIFICATIONS: (Receptionist)
  • Hotel School Graduate or FHTS Hospitality Certificate holder
  • Minimum of 1 year Hotel Reception experience is required and additional language knowledge will be an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Good spoken and command of English
  • Computer literate in Word and Excel and has the ability to operate IDS system accurately
  • Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions

QUALIFICATIONS: (Purchasing Supervisor)
  • Diploma Holder
  • Five years purchasing and inventory experience in hotel or resort
  • Two years of supervisory experience required, preferably in purchasing

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Must have full knowledge of food, beverage, general and printing products and purchasing procedures
  • Basic mathematical and computer skills to order items and track deliveries
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to complete forms and inventories, read billings and invoices, and communicate with co-workers and purveyors
  • Ability to apply basic supervisory skills to plan, organize and control
  • Health & safety certificate will be an advantage

QUALIFICATIONS: (Accounts Payable Assistant and Night Auditor)
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with major in Hotel Accounting
  • Three years in hotel Accounting Department operations including all sub-departments including one year in a similar position

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Considerable skill in complex mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
  • Ability to move throughout all Accounting areas and perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to read, analyse and interpret written documents; listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system

QUALIFICATIONS: (Duty Engineer)
  • High School Graduate
  • Combination of education, training or experience including with good English communication, to provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Minimum 2-year experience in same position
  • Experience of machinery, welding, boilers, pumps, desalination and sewage treatment plants
  • Qualification/Certificate/Experience in Mechanical/Electrical/Diesel operated Power plant

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Ability to lift, bend, stoop, push or pull heavy loads, and stand for long periods of time.
  • Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand information such as safety labels and instructions

QUALIFICATIONS: (Excursion Assistant)
  • Hotel School Graduate
  • At least one year previous experience in the position of Tour Operator, Guest Relations, or Reception in a Resort or Hotel
  • Fluency in English is essential, additional language knowledge is an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS:
  • Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
  • Flexibility, as it is not a routine job with fixed times and schedules
  • Is required to be physically fit, ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions
  • Ability to read, listen and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Considerable skill in the use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
  • Ability to accurately operate Opera computer system
  • Friendly and courteous
