SHOP MANAGER
Terms of Reference
Purpose
The Shop Manager is responsible for maintaining the store in order to ensure reliable service to the customers. It is expected that shop manager understand and envisages all activities on the shop floor, for effective and smooth operation, caring the customer needs.

Scope

The Shop Manager is responsible for maintaining customer service, sales, managing the staffs with in order to achieve the purpose of the position.

General responsibilities and objectives
  1. Ensure that all customer related services and queries are attended and dealt in a manner seeking solutions for customer needs and queries are recorded for improvement.
  2. Monitor, record, evaluate daily sales on departments, goods and prepare and plan replenishment of goods. Seek advice from support staff and prepare and improve sales.
  3. Study/understand and prepare sales promotion based on the stocks, promotional items and as per the marketing plan. Ensure that promotions are effective in contrast with competitors.
  4. Ensure that all product information, usage and purpose are understood to all staff. Staff should be aware of alternative products and products that fit for purposes. It is important that MTC’s (Manufacture Test Certificate) are obtained and recorded for customers on demand.
  5. Coordinate and conduct staff meetings, structured training programs, seeking solutions on sales, replenishment, and customer related services issues on scheduled intervals and when and then required with concerned staff.
  6. Generate, evaluate, reports on all relevant areas above, for further planning, improvement of services and sales. Brief and re-plan based on the reports for betterment.
  7. Prepare and update price lists and information to ensure that staff and customers are updated with the right information.
  8. Allocate the support staff that would go to warehouses and other required places during operation hours.

  2. Produces qualitative, accurate outputs with considerable attention to detail, in a timely manner.
  3. Manages complexities, shifting priorities, and is able to work effectively without constant supervision.

  5. Ability to manage and supervise staffs, with a good knowledge of people management.

STORE/WAREHOUSE MANAGER
Terms of Reference
Purpose
The Store Manager is the overall in-charge of the warehouses. It is the responsibility of the Store Keeper to maintain a constant inventory and stock records at the warehouses. Also, the supply of goods from warehouses to shops is part of Store Manager’s duty.

Scope
The Store Manager must be able to perform collection of goods from point of cargo clearance, classifying the items and stocking them accordingly to warehouses. The Store Manager is also responsible for transferring of goods from warehouses to shop on daily basis, or as per requirement.

General responsibilities and objectives
  1. Thorough knowledge of storekeeping practices and stock records practices
  2. Working knowledge of modern warehouse procedures including methods of proper and orderly storage of materials and maintaining the proper documentation
  3. Working knowledge of inventory procedures
  4. Working knowledge of safety practices in lifting and storing materials
  5. Knowledge of basic book keeping
  6. Skills to supervise, train and plan the work of stores personnel
  7. Skill to generate, analyze, review and correct detailed purchase requisition, orders or invoices
  8. Skill to maintain records of store keeping operations
  9. Must be keen to details
  10. Working knowledge of terminology and specification of hardware materials would be an added advantage
Desired Competencies

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in a relevant field
Experience: 2 to 3 years in a relevant field

Salary: 600$ starting salary; benefits including tea allowance and attendance allowance
