Sous Chef – Staff Kitchen

The Role
To take charge of our Staff Kitchen / Restaurant, implement, prepare multi-national cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner, 7 days a week for upto 350 staff per meal period. Must have experience in large volume cooking and able to produce quality, nutritious food for our international staff.

Main Duties: 
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks with an eye to detail and presentation
  • Stay up to date with latest culinary trends and create ideas into better and consistent implementations
  • Following HACCP guidelines as well as general health & safety in the workplace
  • Creating in conjunction with the Executive Sous Chef of menus which meet the needs of the target market and are in line with the operating concept for the restaurant
  • Strong leadership and organization skills with a "hands on approach"
  • Must be able to perform any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

The ideal candidate will:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, Maldives experience would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Be driven to perform high with output combined with an eye for detail
  • Have self-initiative and independent judgment
  • Have exceptional interpersonal skills 
  • Be a creative thinker who can bring energy to new projects
  • College Diploma or Equivalent in Hospitality Related Field
  • Must have a recognised culinary certificate
  • Excellent Communication Skills
