Sales and Marketing Executive


Outgoing and enthusiastic? Interested in marketing? Want to move to the next level and learn from some of the best in the business?


Minivan News is seeking a talented sales and marketing executive to help expand the first fully independent and 100% ad funded news source in the Maldives.


Ads are the lifeblood ensuring Minivan News remains sustainable and independent, making this an opportunity to directly contribute to the future of the media in this fledgling democracy.


Reporting directly to the editor, the ideal candidate will be a dynamic and high-energy self-starter, able to work independently both on the phone and actively meeting clients to discuss their advertising needs.


Exceptional training and on-going support will be provided by a marketing trainer from the BBC in the UK. 


Experience in sales, marketing or retail is a plus, but this is an outstanding opportunity to learn for a candidate with a bright and outgoing personality.


Base salary will be commensurate with experience and will include commission, making the sky the limit for the right candidate.


Candidates must be fluent in Dhivehi and English.
