Guest Experience Maker and Food & Beverage Captain Job Vacancy at Six Senses Laamu

Guest Experience Maker (Maldivian Only)
Scope of Position: Responsible
for ensuring that the assigned guest has the best of experiences at Six Senses
Laamu. Responsible and accountable for all functions and activities related to
Guest Experience Makers and the necessary coordination with the many
departments of the resort and allied areas.
Experience: Minimum 2 years
of experience in Butler Service by competent professional in an international
hotel
Qualifications: Excellent
knowledge of guest service. IT Savvy in Word, Excel and the Internet. Good
Organization skills
Special Skills: Trained in
all guest related functions.
Languages: Excellent
English and Dhivehi communication skills.
Food & Beverage Captain / Supervisor (Maldivian Only)
Scope of Position: To ensure polite, efficient and the highest standard
of restaurant service in accordance with the resorts food and beverage
procedures and to the satisfaction of all guests.
Experience: A minimum
of 4 years experience within five star luxury hotels and resort. Any equivalent
or combinations of beverage related experience is acceptable.
Qualifications: GCE O/L or
A/L
Special Skills: Full
knowledge of the operations of bar and restaurant procedures, set up and
service in addition to the resorts SPL’s policies regarding restaurant
services.
Languages: Excellent
English communication skills both written and oral. Knowledge and abilities in other languages
would be beneficial. An offering of local language and their customs is highly
encouraged.

Job Opportunity for Central Purchasing Manager
Central Purchasing Manager
MINOR Hotels in the Maldives is establishing a Central Purchasing
Department and requires an experienced person to head the Central Purchasing
Operations. This is a newly created position.
The successful candidate will be based in the Maldives and will have to
identify the right software technology and recruit the staff and set up the
department and deliver purchasing efficiencies in terms of pricing and
logistics. The position is expected to deliver the following result.
- Lead purchasing team to identify, develop and implement supply chain strategies across all concept
- Produce innovative and accurate lowest landed cost analysis
- Drive continuous improvement through productivity and efficiency management
- Design and align supply chain processes and policies with business processes to maximize corporate capital efficiency
- Minimize cost and maximize value in the supply chain process via strategic sourcing, negotiations, total cost modeling, etc. (supply chain best practices)
- Identify process improvements and facilitate implementation of special high value projects responsive to core needs
- Ensure effective delivery of initiatives, programs and directives in accordance with sourcing strategy and financial business plans
- Support the Group Director Purchasing in execution of due diligences and supports in realization of potential synergy effects after acquiring new businesses.
- Develop, implement and execute the purchase strategy for all items within the assigned product group thus ensuring the best possible prices and conditions
- Ensure regular information delivery about suppliers, market developments, usage of purchase agreements towards Group Director Purchase, Business Unit Purchase managers and other stakeholders and ensures alignment with these parties regarding strategic and tactic purchasing issues and decision making processes.
- Follow up on claims, complaints and other points to be addressed with suppliers.
- Support the Group Director Purchasing in execution of due diligences
Selection criteria
- Has relevant academic qualifications and has a minimum 5 years of experience in an international procurement role
- Should have a proven track record in buying materials from the assigned product group and has knowledge of the relevant markets
- Is pragmatic, disciplined and self-motivated
- Has commercial acumen to recognize and act upon opportunities and has strong negotiating skills.
- Has a proven track record in total cost of ownership initiatives.
- Has a strong knowledge of various cultures and international ways of working.
- Has excellent English speaking and writing skills and a flexible attitude to work and is willing to travel internationally.
- Has experience in working with automated procurement and inventory control systems
- Has leadership qualities and be able to work independently

Storekeeper Supervisor
Job Description:
The Storekeeper Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the
security of the storerooms and ensuring they are organized and managed in a
professional manner as per established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities will also include, but not limited to, inventory,
documentation, monitoring of store items, receiving and distribution of goods
as necessary and to perform any assignments to meet business needs as directed
by direct superior.
Qualification:
- Minimum 2years experience in MC of all features in relation to operation of stores.
- Extensive knowledge over food and beverage in leisure industry.
- Handling of physical verification of stock and its reconciliation.

- Adhere to Anantara food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality culinary offerings to our guests. Continually look to recommend improvements and additions to the Anantara presentation guidelines.
- Maintain food safety & protection. All food in working areas should be in compliance with food handling techniques, including dating, proper storage, rotation, etc. Maintain basic food safety and sanitation practices.
Qualification:
- Must have general knowledge of food cost.
- Must have 1 year minimum experience in a similar capacity and with preference given to 5 star hotel backgrounds.
- Self-motivated, innovative with a high drive for results.
