Job Task
  • To help execute set up and serves food and beverage for each function according to the directives and a manner to obtain maximum guest satisfaction.
  • To perform any other duties set by hotel policies, management or his/her direct supervisor which are not included here above.
  • Always good appearance and pleasant duty on daily.
  • Cleaning all table, chair including other function equipments; white board, flip chart, etc.
  • Obtains requisitioned items from storeroom and ensures proper storage.
  • Sets up tables, buffet tables, decoration material and equipment as per instruction from supervisor and captain according to each function requirement.

Job Specifications
  • Must be able to communicate in English and Mandarin Language.
  • Young dynamic and highly motivated
  • Hotel School Graduates and/ or experience in a similar position
  • Outgoing personality who fosters Customer relation. Computer literate.
  • Experience working in a multicultural team including working in a resort environment
  • Flexible working hours, hands on, patient, peoples person and very service oriented

  • Be proficient at food and wine pairing.
  • Be comfortable and well versed in public speaking, required to conduct wine tastings.
  • Be sales oriented and have the ability to ‘upsell’ at all times, without sacrificing the quality of service, which should be of the highest order at all times.
  • Be able to take care of correctly listing and delisting the wines on the wine list, ordering, liaising with suppliers especially in the absence of the head sommelier
  • Be ready to perform any other reasonable task(s) assigned by the head sommelier/F&B management.

Qualifications:                   
  • WSET Advanced Certificate
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a sommelier
  • English + another language – German/Italian/Spanish/French
  • Island Experience – Minimum 1 year
  • Asia Experience – minimum 1 year
