We are seeking a Logistician with international experience to provide support services and in-country logistics for a medium-sized, mobile scientific research facility located in the Maldives. The position will involve heavy project management and logistics coordination for the facility and its personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

--Responsible for acquiring and providing full functioning lodging and office work space for staff and visitors (Electricity, Internet, Storage, etc). 

--Responsible for setup and decommissioning of research launch sites ( Providing cranes, shipping equipment, acquiring local support and general labor, etc). 

--Coordinate with local authorities to obtain permission to deploy project equipment, including leases as needed. 

--Provide monthly budget summary reports. 

--Secure and arrange payment for a local driver to transport project staff among airport, project deployments sites, lodging facilities and meeting venues for project duration. 

--Coordinate any additional support needed for the success of the project. 

--Provide miscellaneous services including procurement of small value items as required by the project manager to support in-country contracts. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field. 

Ten years of significant operations supports and coordinating large to medium-sized construction site experience. 

Excellent communication. English fluency - read, write, speak.
