the following vacancy at Six Senses Laamu;
Junior Sommelier
Scope of Position: To ensure polite, efficient and the highest standard
of beverage service in accordance with the resorts beverage procedures and to
the satisfaction of all guests.
Experience: A minimum of
two years experience in a similar position within five star luxury hotels and
resort.
Qualifications: Full high school
education. A wine certificate will be advantageous.
Typical Duties: Serving,
up-selling, suggesting wines for different courses and working closely with the
Head Sommelier. Responsible for the correct stock rotation and caring of the
wine cellars.
Languages: Excellent
English communication skills both written and oral. Knowledge and abilities in other languages
would be beneficial. An offering of local language and their customs is highly
encouraged.
