Thulhagiri is situated in North Male’ atoll approximately 13 km from
the airport and takes only 25 minutes by speed boat. The island is surrounded
by a crystal clear lagoon encompassing spectacular tropical marine life.
We are currently recruiting for the following positions.
PASTRY – CHEF
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of a Chef
- Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen
- Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
- Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
- Plan production to facilitate daily requirements
- Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulation
CHEF - GARDEMANGER
REQUIREMENTS
- A minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of a Chef Gardemanger
- Good knowledge of Food products in cold kitchen Buffet & all-la cart.
- Assisting the Sous Chef with developing menus and setting standard recipes which allow the resort to run at an acceptable food cost.
- Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
- Good command of written and spoken English

Job Description
Specific activities
- Manage and coordinate all marketing, advertising and promotional activities.
- Managing Resort/Hotel contracts.
- Preparing the contracts and sending to tour operators/ travel agents.
- Manage adequate supplies of company stationery, including brochures, and leaflets.
- Carry out the necessary ground work to prepare the marketing team to make presentations while attending Fairs and international promotions.
- conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products
- analysis of customer research, current market conditions and competitor information
- develop and implement marketing plans and projects for new and existing properties
- manage the productivity of the marketing plans and projects
- monitor, review and report on all marketing activity and results
- determine and manage the marketing budget
- deliver marketing activity within agreed budget
- assist in the development of pricing strategy
- liaison with media and advertising – locally as well as overseas
