Job Opportunities at Thulhagiri Island Resort

Thulhagiri is situated in North Male’ atoll approximately 13 km from the airport and takes only 25 minutes by speed boat. The island is surrounded by a crystal clear lagoon encompassing spectacular tropical marine life.

We are currently recruiting for the following positions.

KITCHEN ARTIST

REQUIREMENTS

Ensure proper daily preparation and execution of carving and buffet decoration to exceed guest satisfaction and expectation
Work closely with the pastry chef & Garde manger Chef in regards to the decoration as per required standards
Assisting the Chef de Cuisine in monitoring the use of standard recipes which allows the kitchen department to operate an acceptable food cost
Enthusiasm and drive for excellence
Good command of written and spoken English

PASTRY – CHEF

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of a Chef
Assist running the pastry section of the kitchen
Ensure excellent quality throughout the dessert offerings
Supervise and coordinate all pastry and dessert preparation and presentation
Plan production to facilitate daily requirements
Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety regulation

CHINESE CHEF – with show cooking skill

REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of 3 years experience in the capacity of Chinese chef
Coordinate the procurement of supplies required for the preparation of Chinese dishes
Plans menus suitable for Chinese and international clientele
Ability to read, to listen to, comprehend and communicate effectively in English and Chinese
