RECEPTIONIST (Maldivian)

Veligandu Island Resort & Spa is seeking a RECEPTIONIST to round out our team. We seek an experienced Receptionist with at least 2 years experience at a similar volume hotel or resort. 

The applicant must:

- Have good command in English, can express his thoughts well.

- Have pleasing personality

- Be polite and professional in any situation where the image or the 

  reputation of the resort is represented

Key Responsibilities

- Assist guest & visitors of the resort with general inquiries, receives 

and check-in all new arrivals and attends to un-expected visitors

- Operates PABX telephone console and provide efficient and courteous 

telephone service to resort’s internal & external customers and ensures all calls are appropriately managed

- Greets customers and explain the facilities and services through suggestive selling techniques by offering customers the opportunity to purchase additional services

- Maintains appointment and usage bookings for in-house activities, excursions etc.

- Deals promptly and courteously to all inquiries and listen attentively 

to customer complaints  and refer them to the Manager, Records 

accurately all telephone or counter service request  and complaints 

and issues to the appropriate team member or group

Veligandu Island Resort & Spa is seeking a COST CONTROLLER to round out our team. We seek an experienced Cost Controller with at least 2 years experience in the same capacity at a similar volume hotel or resort. 

Position Requirement:

-  Applicant should have good communication skills, fluent in English (written and spoken).

- Must be computer literate 

-Must have at least 2 years experience as Cost Controller or Asst. Cost Controller in a large hotel

-Knowledge of Material Controls (Micros - Fidelio) software

-Sound Knowledge of F&B cost controlling is a must

-Passed G.C.E. (Ordinary Level)
