Chief engineer f/m

Your tasks…

  • Managing an engineering team of up to 20 skilled and unskilled workers
  • Assuring that tasks and processes in the engineering dept. will be performed correctly, competently and smoothly in accordance with and based on the ROBINSON manual
  • Responsible for the perfect and correct function of all installations in the club
  • Responsible for an effective maintenance of buildings and furnishingsResponsible for safety and perfect function of all fire-fighting systems and for practising fire fighting drills
  • Responsible for the quality of drinking and industrial water, water used in the gardens and waste water
  • Effective planning of preventive maintenance measures
  • Implementation and realisation of the ROBINSON concept with regard to effective energy and maintenance management
  • Preparation and control of engineering budgets for maintenance+repair, utilities and engineering staff
  • Dealing with and participate in investment proposals for optimising and enlarging existing installations in conjunction with the Club management

…with competence and personality

  • We are looking for a mechanical/electrical Chief Engineer with at least 2 years experience in a similar position
  • Experience in Facility Management
  • Very good English knowledge in word and writing is essential for this job

Job cuts hit Pizza Hut headquarters

Pizza Hut confirmed Wednesday that layoffs will take place at its Dallas headquarters as the company focuses on turning corporate-owned stores into franchise-operated units.

A spokesman for Pizza Hut said staff members at the company’s Dallas headquarters will be notified of the cuts Wednesday. The company didn't specify how many positions will be impacted.

Pizza Hut confirmed the news after Jerry Abramson, Mayor of Louisville, Kentucky, confirmed that Yum Brands Inc. will be cutting or relocating “several hundred” white-collar jobs from its Louisville headquarters and moving other jobs to restaurant chain headquarters cities. Officials with Yum Brands (NYSE: YUM) could not immediately be reached for comment. Pizza Hut's chain headquarters is located in Dallas. Taco Bell's headquarters is located in Irvine, Calif. The KFC, A&W and Long John Silver's restaurant chains are located in Louisville.

Yum Brands will cut several hundred jobs at Pizza Hut in Dallas, at its Taco Bell headquarters in Irvine, Calif., and at the company’s headquarters in Louisville, Ky.

Yum’s Brands also has the KFC, Long John Silver’s and A&W All-American Food brands under its umbrella.

Huge job cut for immigrants in U.K.

LONDON: If you’re a doctor, a teacher or a nurse and wish to migrate to Britain, forget about it.

These are among the thousands of jobs which will be off-limits for skilled workers from outside the European Union under the points-based immigration system to come into force later this month.

The Home Office on Wednesday said there would be 2,00,000 fewer jobs available to non-EU migrants than the original estimate

“The number of positions available to migrants has been reduced from one million to just under 8,00,000, ensuring that only those foreign workers we need — and no more — can come here,” it said.

The system is designed to give preference to native Britons and offer only those jobs to foreigners that cannot be filled locally. As Britain cannot bar EU citizens from coming here and working, the rules will affect only workers from outside the EU.

New rules will require employers, wishing to bring in foreign workers, to show that suitable local candidates are not available. They will have to advertise jobs and only when they are not able to fill them locally would they be allowed to recruit foreign workers

“Tier 2 of the points system will ensure that British jobseekers get the first shot at jobs and only those foreign workers we need will be able to come to the United Kingdom,” said the Home Office statement

Border and Immigration Minister Phil Woolas said the system — aimed at cutting down immigration — was flexible enough to allow the government to raise or lower the bar according to the needs of local businesses.

“Had the points system been in place last year there would have been 12 per cent fewer people coming in to work through the equivalent work permit route. On top of this, the strict new shortage list means 2,00,000 fewer jobs are available via the shortage occupation route,” he said.

Besides a range of other restrictions, foreign workers will be required to have English language skills and enough funds to support themselves in the first month of their stay in Britain.
