The Suntans Way
Captain
The captain is the person in-charge of operating the vessel and the crew. The person should be a 'hands-on' person and must also be able to carry out administrative tasks. The person should thoroughly understand the service and all operations on board the vessel and should also be ready to entertain guests where necessary.
Work Site & Working Hours: You will be based in Maldives but will work on board one of Sultans of the Seas luxury yachts (the Sultans way). You will be required to work 8 hours a day and 6 days a week unless on a charter or during major maintenance work.
Remuneration & Benefits: Basic Salary: Mrf.19,000.00 per month + Monthly Charter Bonus (approx. USD 500.00)
Health Insurance, 30 Days Annual Leave, Telephone Allowance, Career Development Opportunities, Food & Accommodation are arranged on board the vessel, Salary Reviews will be based on performance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Relevant Licenses required to captain a motor yacht of over 100ft.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Computer Literacy
- Over 5 years of experience as a Captain
- Ability to speak a foreign language will be an added advantage
Chief Engineer
The person will be responsible to maintain the mechanical and electrical operations of thel vessel. The person should be able to carry out the routines in the engine room and attend to general trouble shooting and may have to interact with guests as well.
Work Site and Working Hours: You will be based in Male' but will frequently work on board one of Sultans of the Seas luxury yachts (the Sultans way). You will be required to work 8 hours a day and 6 days a week unless on a charter or during major maintenance work.
Remuneration & Benefits: Basic Salary: Mrf. 15,000.00 per month.
Health Insurance, 30 Days Annual Leave, Telephone Allowance, Career Development Opportunities, Food & Accommodation are arranged on board the vessel, Salary Reviews will be based on performance.
Skills and Competencies:
- Degree in Marine Engineering and Electrical Engineering
- Computer Literacy
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- High level of experience in working with and maintaining yachts engines, generators, air conditioning systems, electrical systems and water makers
Steward / Barman x 2
The person will be required to provide 'invisible' service to the guests (Le. attend to the room while guests are having breakfast, replace towels before guests notices, refill drinks before a request is made etc ... ). Must be able to serve and smile and be able to attend to guest's needs, no matter the time of the day or night.
Work Site and Working Hours: You will be based on board one of the Sultans of the Seas luxury yachts (the Sultans way). You will be required to work 8 hours a day and 6 days a week unless on a charter or during major maintenance work.
Remuneration & Benefits: Basic Salary: Mrf. 10,000.00 per month + Monthly Charter Bonus (approx.USD 500.00)

Skills and Competencies:
- Experienced in Food/Drink service and house keeping in the hospitality industry.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Computer Literacy
- Over 3 years of experience as a Steward or similar
- Ability to speak a foreign language will be an added advantage
Chief Steward
The position requires the ability to provide service before the guests makes a request, the ability to anticipate event before they happen and the ability to think ahead. The candidate must be open minded, flexible and ready to accept new and varied challenges every day.
Work Site & Working Hours: You will be based on board one of Sultans of the Seas luxury yachts (the Sultans way).You will be required to work 8 hours a day and 6 days a week unless on a charter or during major maintenance work.
Remuneration & Benefits: Basic Salary: Mrf. 15,000.00 per month + Monthly Charter Bonus (approx. USD 500.00)

- Knowledge of boat operations, food/drink service and house keeping service in the hospitality industry.

- Over 3 years experience as a Chief Steward or similar
- Ability to speak a foreign language will be an added advantage
