Job Vacancy for Logistician at TechTrans International

TechTrans International is pre-qualifying for an employment position, located in the Gan Island, Maldives.

We are seeking a Logistician with international experience to provide support services and in-country logistics for a medium-sized, mobile scientific research facility located in the Maldives. The position will involve heavy project management and logistics coordination for the facility and its personnel.

Duties and Responsibilities:

--Responsible for acquiring and providing full functioning lodging and office work space for staff and visitors (Electricity, Internet, Storage, etc). 

--Responsible for setup and decommissioning of research launch sites ( Providing cranes, shipping equipment, acquiring local support and general labor, etc). 

--Coordinate with local authorities to obtain permission to deploy project equipment, including leases as needed. 

--Provide monthly budget summary reports. 

--Secure and arrange payment for a local driver to transport project staff among airport, project deployments sites, lodging facilities and meeting venues for project duration. 

--Coordinate any additional support needed for the success of the project. 

--Provide miscellaneous services including procurement of small value items as required by the project manager to support in-country contracts. 

Qualifications/Requirements:

Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field. 

Ten years of significant operations supports and coordinating large to medium-sized construction site experience. 

Excellent communication. English fluency - read, write, speak. 

Preference for U. S. Citizen or resident of Maldives.

Previous experience / training in the security field is required and resort or hospitality experience is preferred. You will be disciplined, courteous, able to work shifts and be physically fit.

Chief Thakuru (Butler)

Will require a minimum of 2 years experience as a Butler and also have proven leadership skills. You will have worked in 5* resorts and have a passion to serve and attention to detail.

Housekeeping Co-ordinator

Previous experience in Housekeeping in a resort is required. Computer skills (word, excel, MS Office package, Fidelio or Opera) are essential. Very high level of English speaking and writing and administration.

Food and Beverage Waiters

Experience in cafes and or restaurants and a great service attitude. High level of English speaking. Previous resort experience is preferred but not essential as training will be given to a 5* standard.

Commis and Trainee Chefs

Do you have a passion for cooking and are experienced in kitchens or are you willing to learn and be trained ?

If you have basic English, have some experience in cooking, good hygiene standards then please apply.

Engineering Department

We are looking for experience Maldivians in the areas of AC Mechanics, Plumbers, Painters, Pool Attendants and Water Plant Operators. If you have skills in these jobs and good basic English then please apply.
