Job Opportunity at Mirihi

Mirihi – as unique as you!

The Mirihi Island Resort is a very successful, unique, elegant and small boutique hotel in the South Ari Atoll in the Republic of the Maldives. Only 36 tastefully appointed villas are spread over the island. We have one main restaurant, one over-water a-la-carte restaurant, one main bar and one sunset cocktail bar (included in the over-water restaurant). Besides that, we spoil our guests with a very professional dive-centre, some non-motorized water-sport equipments, with a wonderful sailing yacht and with a small and elegant SPA-area. But the most important is our personal and unique service – as unique as you!

To complete our dynamic and successful team, we are looking for a (preferably male)
Assistant Front Office Manager
(Date of joining upon agreement)
Who we are:
 A very unique and elegant, yet laid-back niche-product in the middle of the Indian Ocean
 A resort to be rated as a 5* boutique-resort with a year-occupancy of around 90%
 Our guests are mainly from Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Japan and Scandinavia
 Overall year we have close to 45% repeating-guests
 The Mirihi Island Resort is a privately owned company with three owners (two Maldivians and one Swiss)
 We are one of the most successful resorts in the Maldives and we are operating with an international team with around 140 team-members (staff to guest ratio is 2:1)

What we expect from you:
 To fully lead and develop our young Front Office Team and to assist our Front Office- and Reservation-Manager as well as our Guest Relations Manager in other work scopes
 Scopes of work (sorted by priority): Front Office, Guest Relations, Reservation and at a later stage eventually some Marketing projects (like CRM-management etc.)
 Leadership and project management regarding the implementation of a new PMS-system in 2012 (Fidelio, Protel or similar)
 An excellent knowledge of all resort-areas, especially Front Office, Guest Relations and Reservation
 Excellent administrative skills
 Excellent skills regarding organization and communication (internally and externally)

What kind of person you should be:
 An out-going, hands-on and dynamic professional with excellent communication skills
 A natural team player providing a very personal and unique service to our guests
 You should have very good skills in English and German (in speaking and writing) and a third language (preferably French) would be highly appreciated
 Very good experience in Front Office and some working experience abroad would be an advantage
