DIVE MASTER WANTED IN GAAF. ALIFU ATOLL

The Dive Centre “Blue Journeys” on Alila Villas Hotels Hadahaa, Gaaf Alifu Atoll, is seeking for an enthusiastic PADI Dive Master to join its team.

Alila Villas Hotels Hadahaa is soon to be opened in August 2009.

Are you in the possession of a valid PADI Dive Master license, do you have excellent social skills, are you able to speak English fluently and willing to continue your professional development by self-directed learning?

Then you might be the person we are looking for.

Your tasks will be:

• welcoming and assisting in registering guests to Blue Journeys
• assisting guests in giving out snorkeling equipment
• guiding dives by boat or at the house reef
• conducting introduction to scuba diving lessons in confined water
• supplying and stocking the dive boat prior to dive trips
• supervising the loading and unloading of tanks and other dive equipment
• securing the storage of all diving equipment at Blue Journeys
• maintaining diving equipment and making simple repairs like changing o-rings, checking / replacing mouth pieces, changing straps when necessary ,etc.
• overall responsibility for the cleaning of equipment (including snorkeling gear)
• when required filling tanks and help other team members in their work;• possess a good working knowledge of water sports activities, fish and corals of the Maldives and other basic marine life
• perform general dive master tasks.
