IT Manager Job Opening in Meeru Island Resort

IT Manager:

Duties: To Manage IT-Operations, projects, network planning, installation, implementation, maintenance, security, trouble shooting and back-up of systems. Budgeting and Procurement, strategies, policies, data processing, telecommunications; smooth running of Applications
Opera, Micros-Fidelio, Accounting, PayTrax;
Must have University degree in Information Technology or related studies. Computer Packages for Hotel Industry and hands on practical knowledge of computerized Property Management Systems, hardware and software.
Must have at least Five years experience in a similar position in Hotel and hospitality Industry with practical knowledge of Opera V4.0, Micros-Fidelio Financial Accounting systems, SUN system, MF Point of Sales and Networks. A proven and stable track record must be provided.
Must be neat, clean and well groomed appearance at all times

Benefits:
One Year contract, preferably committed to stay 2 years (Negotiable), salary $ negotiable, Accommodation, Meals, Medical, Transport provided, Annual Leave, Service Charges, Library, Sports Facilities and Entertainment provided.
Fully furnished housing accommodation, linen, towels provided.

GUEST SERVICE SUPERVISOR (Swiss/French)

Duties: To promote and develop loyalty from hotel guests by positively reacting to their needs, and promoting a high level of personalized guest service. To be present in the hotel’s public areas and Interact positively with guests during all arrivals and departures, briefing group arrivals, FITs, VIPs and repeat guests.
To handle guest comments/complaints, take immediate action, resolve problems to the satisfaction of all parties and ensure guest satisfaction.
Liaising with on-island Tour Company representatives, Front Office, Reservations and other supporting operation department.
Communicate special guest requirements, to the various departments, and ensure that the various benefits and services are received.

Qualifications: Hotel School Graduate. Certified in CPR, First Aid an advantage, Fluent in French and English Language and Computer Literate.

Experience: Minimum 2 years Front office/Guest Relations experience. Ideally, this person would be a Swiss National, female, Fluent in French and good English speaker. Strong working knowledge of Fidelio

Requirements: Must be able to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions.
Female between the age 20-30 years

SEA Supervisor

Position purpose: The Sports Entertainment and Activities department is responsible to organize and lead all guest activities, excursions, entertainment in order to maintain the highest level of courteous, professional, and efficient service to all guests. Liaise with related Departments to ensure profitability, control costs and quality standards to guarantee total guest satisfaction on Meeru Island Resort.

Position requirements:
· Fluent in English, French and German
· Hotel school graduate
At least one year previous experience in the position
of tour
guide, guest relations officer or receptionist in a resort hotel
· Overseas living and/or working experience
· Outgoing personality and enjoying guest contact
· Tolerant of people from other cultures and nationalities
· A self starter and self-reliant
· Mature, calm, not easily excitable nor with temper
· Certification in CPR, First Aid and ideally also SCUBA
· Minimum 1 year commitment, preferably 2 years
· Age 20 - 30 years
Benefits:
One year contract, preferably committed to stay 2 years(Negotiable), a salary to be paid in of US$ /month. Depend on the position single or twin sharing accommodation, medical, laundry, Uniforms provided, 30 days annual leave with return airfare paid to the point of hire, 1 day off per week (able to accumulate up to 8 off days), entitled to use the resort’s F&B outlets for personal use at 60% discount, free use of (most) of the resort’s leisure facilities, e.g. water sports, scuba diving, gym.
Accommodation, fully furnished room with on-suite bathroom, linen and Towels provided. Televisions provided in all the Rooms with Free 24-Hour Wireless Internet Access to all staff. Transport provided to other sister islands.
