Special Events Coordinator
Summary:
Function & Scope: Design, plan and implement recognition events for the Development, in coordination with the F&B Manager. This position impacts the image of the Resort in Kuredu & Komandoo.
Essential Functions:
Typical Essential Functions include but are not limited to the following:
• Assist with Resort events such as commencements, annual service awards ceremony and holiday receptions, weddings, special nights and other related exceptional events etc.
• Perform administrative duties as relate to the position including compilation of guest/attendance lists, establishing and monitoring event budgets, and evaluating events upon completion.
• Assist in establishing processes and procedures for events, including the use of Astra
• Assist in coordinating activities along with the F&B Manager with assisting at VIP functions.
• Participate in events when appropriate, involving some nights and weekends and occasional out-of-Resort travel etc.
Marginal Functions:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervision:
Received: Specific Supervision - Incumbent performs standard and routine assignments independently to conclusion; unusual problems and exceptions to procedures or processes are referred to the supervisor.
Given: None.
Education:
Required: Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Required: Three years of related administrative experience in the area of events.
Preferred: Significant Special Events experience.
Special Job Requirements (such as hours, accuracy, special equipment and/or working conditions):
Some evening and weekend work will be required and occasional out-of-town travel.
