“BE THE HELPING HAND” Campaign

Ever thought there are millions of people around the world who are deprived from basic human rights?
Ever thought a part of them are living among us?
Within our community?
Ever thought you could change that?
Ever tried to help?
Ever thought of supporting someone to make that change?

Over 20,000 people in the Maldivian communities are persons with disabilities, who are deprived from many essential rights for inclusion and integration. Only few get the opportunity to even dream of a better life let alone live it. And sadly very few even work towards creating such an opportunity for them. As even one smile is truly an achievement of hard work and dedication.
 
Today, Care Society is in great need of your support. A helping hand is all we are asking, to provide that opportunity for persons with disabilities. Be a member of Care and play your part. Join hands with us to make sure “that smile” do not fade away.

Care Society have different types of members including target members (persons with disabilities), resource members (Volunteers) and different financially contributing members including general members, silver members, Gold members and corporate members. All these members are legally eligible for voting under the articles of association of care Society.

Care Society’s membership week 5th to 11th August 2012”.  Call up or sign up and be a part of us. Contribute only MVR 100 per month and become a General member. Or Donate MVR 500 monthly and become a Silver member.  Donate MVR 1000 per month and become a Gold member or to become a corporate members donate 24,000 annually.

Funds raised through “BE THE HELPING HAND” campaign will be utilized for sustaining and upgrading the services for persons with disabilities. This will include training individuals to work in the area of education and rehabilitation for persons with disabilities. To reaching out to the island communities and provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to access services provided by Care Society. Care Society will be accountable to publish the amount raised through the campaign and how the funds are being used.
